A key challenge for Accordia is to raise critical funds that can be used toward the area of greatest need.  The Accordia Leadership Fund encourages annual, unrestricted contributions from individuals that allow Accordia to develop more opportunistically its international leadership role in both the United States and abroad, while also providing the organization with the seed monies to explore quickly new methods and approaches for fighting infectious diseases in Africa.   Additionally, gifts to the Accordia Leadership Fund leverage and secure the financial and administrative operations of Accordia so that all philanthropic contributions are utilized to achieve maximum impact.  Approximately 85% of all donations to the Accordia Leadership Fund and its President’s Circle are directly focused on delivering high-quality services in Africa through its clinical, research, prevention, and training programs.

About the President’s Circle:

Accordia faces an enormous challenge in fulfilling its mission. We are committed to the long and steady climb necessary to reach the summit and to bring about permanent improvements in the health of Africans. Gifts of all levels to the Accordia Leadership Fund are important and appreciated. Recognition for Leadership Fund and President’s Circle Donors:

All Leadership Fund and President’s Circle donors are recognized in the appropriate giving category in Accordia’s Annual Report unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous.

President’s Circle donors additionally are featured in the semi-annual newsletter and receive special mailings, updates, and invitations to events in their region.  They are also invited to participate in an annual trip to Africa, which is typically held in the fall in coordination with the Board of Directors meeting.  The trip to Africa provides President’s Circle donors with the unique opportunity to see their contributions at work and how these gifts are making a difference.
